Anne Bradley - President

Long, long ago in the mid-80’s, my very first triathlon was a combination of downhill skiing, cycling and canoeing in upstate New York.  Later while living in the Birmingham, Alabama area, my husband and I competed in several triathlons.  Cycling has always been part of our outdoor life as well as open water swimming and running in the various places we have lived(the US, the Netherlands, Spain).

After competing in the World Masters Games in 2005 on a triathlon team and doing the St. Albert Triathlon Try a Tri, I joined STARRT.  I clearly remember Joanne Graham’s welcoming presence on the pool deck at the triathlon . Since then I have competed in everything from sprint through Ironman.  My favorite triathlon is Lavaman in Kona, Hawaii.

In addition to triathlon, I enjoy cross country skiing and speed skating. I participate in the Canadian Birkie’s 55 km lite event as well as the Silver Skate Festival’s winter tri each year. I look forward to being a part of the STARRT executive.

Ian Laxdal - Vice President

Corey Conroy - Treasurer

Jennifer Coffin - Secretary & Communication Coordinator

Alexander Dieleman - Race Director (STARRT Triathlon)

Catherine Buhr - Special Events Coordinator

I joined STARRT in the fall of 2001, as a runner and was soon on track with swimming and biking‚Ķtriathlon. I was the volunteer coordinator in 2002 for the 10 Mile Road Race and for numerous years after that. I have also been on the Executive as President and Secretary. I researched the current STARRT logo which was redesigned in  2007 and helped develop the current STARRT mission and vision statement.

Personally I participated in numerous triathlons  including the ITU with the longest distance being a half Ironman (x2). I currently teach yoga for STARRT club members, as well as being on the newly formed STARRT social committee.  Staying fit and active as well as the many memories and friendships my husband and  I have made over the past 16 years with like minded people are the greatest benefit of being a STARRT club member!
